Micromold’s FLUOR-O-SHIELD™ PVDF and PTFE Y-Strainers are a lower cost and more flexible solution when the higher capacity of a basket strainer is not needed. Installation can be vertical or horizontal and, like our basket strainers, they are designed for years of trouble-free operation in the harshest environments.
Available in nominal sizes 1/8” through 4”
Standard connections include female NPT, ANSI Class 150 flanged, and Tri-Clamp. Other connections available include: tube fitting – flare or compression, true-union, hose barb, and other flange sizes - ANSI or ISO Metric
Particle sizes strained: 1 to 25,400 microns (0.00003" to 1") using either membranes, mesh screens, or drilled holes. Please refer to our Strainer Screens Technical Bulletin for details. Minimum 2:1 open area ratio when used with 48% or higher open area mesh
All wetted materials are fluoroplastic: Body and connections are PTFE. Standard strainer mesh is Tefzel ETFE; catridges and drain plugs are PTFE, seals are FEP encapsulated silicone rubber.
Our PVDF Y-Strainers are similar in construction and identical in size to our PTFE units.
